Tropical Storm Gordon

GORDON STRENGTHENS A LITTLE AS IT HEADS TOWARD THE NORTH-CENTRAL GULF COAST

Water not wind will be the major impact from Gordon, although it has maximum sustained winds of 69 mph with gusts to 86 mph in spots.

Side effects from the storm could bring breezy showers to far south Georgia but no real impact on Metro Atlanta expected. The easterly/southeast breezes and some cloud cover here are only indirectly related to Gordon.

Other systems (4 or 5) in the Atlantic will have to be monitored over the next couple weeks (Florence and the yellow X can NOT be written off for East Coast impact yet):
